The phrase that John Wimber, the founder of the Vineyard movement, was known to say often was ‘everyone gets to play.’ His goal was to create opportunities for normal people to do extraordinary things. The action wasn’t always on the stage, but all around the room. In Vineyard meetings he would give opportunities for people to learn how to pray for one another and begin discerning how to hear God’s voice.

The goal of the Vineyard has always been to ‘equip the saints for the work of ministry’ (Eph. 4:12). To train ordinary people to do extraordinary things – that has always been the idea behind the calling of the Vineyard movement in the world.

Ministry Teams

Our ministry teams help Sunday services and other events run smoothly. All roles have training available and are on rotating schedules. If you would like more information about any of the teams listed below, or are interested in joining one of them, fill out a Next Steps card. Someone from our leadership team will reach out to you after you submit it.

Hospitality

Our hospitality team welcomes everyone into service. The roles available in this team include greeting, preparing coffee and water, and reading announcements during service.

Worship and AV

The worship and audio/visual team work together to provide musical worship, balance audio during service, record sermons, and put up slides and other media during service.

Even if you have no experience in these areas, let us know you’re interested! Just like the other ministry areas, these roles are trainable.

Youth Group

Youth Group for middle and high school students meets every Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00pm. We also have various outings, camps, retreats, etc that we participate in throughout the year.

Youth group leaders organize games, worship, and a Bible lesson/discussion for each week.

Kid’s Church and Nursery

During service, kids 11 and under can participate in Nursery (ages 0-3) or Kid’s Church (ages 4-11). Each group has age appropriate scripture-based curriculum. Our current curriculum is from the Bible App for Kids.

If you’d like your child to join Kid’s Church or Nursery and have any questions, contact us through our website or reach out to leadership before service.
