Vacation Bible School
We are partnering with MBolden Ministries to bring Vacation Bible School to kids in low income areas. We provide dinner, worship together, and learn about Jesus while having fun!
Volunteers are needed to lead worship, small groups, and activities. We also need volunteers to set up, clean up, check in attendees, and distribute food. Volunteer training will be provided prior to the event. The form to sign up to volunteer will be available soon.
If you’d like to financially support this event, you can donate the normal way you would give tithes (see ‘Give/Serve’ tab of this website). Be sure to include “VBS” in the notes line. Your donations cover the curriculum, activity supplies, and the meals provided.

Fill the Gap - Delivery
We are partnering with MBolden Ministries to provide groceries to families in our community during spring break. This is a task that requires a lot of support, volunteers, and prayers, and we hope that you’ll join us in this endeavor! More information about this event as well as links to help out is below. Thank you so much for your support!
Why It Matters
Often times, children in financially insecure families and underserved communities depend on school lunches as their primary means of having lunch at all. During spring break, these families may struggle to provide meals, or in general have limited resources. Our goal through this outreach is to bless these families, and to make sure that these kids have meals throughout the week regardless of their financial situation.
Since beginning this outreach a few years ago, the scope of support has grown each year, and we’ve been able to bless more and more families each year because of your support. In 2025, we plan to provide groceries to at least 100 families in our community. While we deliver groceries, we also put on a block party to build community, fit with live music and a provided lunch. To make all of this happen, we are accepting both financial donations and donations of groceries based on a shopping list we have put together (printer-friendly version available through the “Support this Event” button). If you would like to provide resources or volunteer for this event, follow this link. To give a financial donation to this event, you can do so through your normal tithing method at VCHS (be sure to put “Outreach” in the notes section) or through the MBolden website.

March 29th – Serve food the day of the event
March 29th – Deliver the groceries
Now through March 29th – Pray for the event
Please Pray for
Plenty of supplies and volunteers
Good weather the day of the event and the week leading up to it
In 2024, the forecast called for rain and cold weather the entire day we were scheduled to deliver. We considered postponing because of this, but decided against it. We had to make a few adjustments due to rainy weather throughout the week, but the day of we were blessed with blue skies and wonderful weather!
Those receiving groceries and the other residents in these communities
Many of the residents in the communities we serve are in a place of financial hardship or limitation for various reasons. Several of them are dealing with health issues or other life circumstances that make working difficult. Some of them work multiple jobs and it simply isn’t enough to make ends meet. Many of the kids in these communities are or will be first generation college students. Please pray for the well being of these families and that they would receive blessings, success, and support, both from this event and otherwise.

Youth Yardsale Fundraiser
Our youth group is participating in a community yard sale to raise support for their trip to Camp Vineyard this summer!
You can support them by donating gently used items to be sold at the yard sale, visiting the yard sale, or by donating directly to our fund for Camp Vineyard. Give the way you would usually give tithes, and include a note that it is for Camp Vineyard. If you want to donate items for the yard sale, please reach out to Leah to coordinate this instead of leaving them at church.

Our ministry team is trained to minister to others with compassion, discernment, and guidance from the Spirit. They are the primary group called to the front during our service’s ministry time to pray for others.
This training is led by Matt and Bekah Bartz, a couple very dedicated to serving and teaching in the church. They lead one of the Holly Springs small groups and serve on the worship team. We are very excited to have them as leaders of this team!

Outdoor Worship Day
There were many spiritual lessons to be learned from the difficult season that was the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure we do not forget these lessons and our growth during that time, we hold a service in the church parking lot once a year, as we did during the pandemic. It is a service to reflect, learn, and worship, all the while in the midst of God’s creation.
For this service, be sure to where weather-appropriate clothing. Sunscreen is also recommended, as one of the lessons we learned while meeting outside during COVID was that you can, in fact, get sunburned in January. If you have your own folding/camping chairs, bring those with you! We hope to see you there!
Note: Nursery and Sunday School will meet inside at their regularly scheduled times.

Doin' the Stuff
Join us for a weekend of training, encouragement, and ministry with Glenn Schroder.
About: Glenn Schroder has been part of the Vineyard movement since 1976 when he started attending a little home group in Yorba Linda, California, that eventually became the Anaheim Vineyard. He and his wife Donna had the opportunity to travel with John Wimber and Lonnie Frisbee on several early ministry trips including spending 2 months in Johannesburg South Africa in 1982 to help plant the first Vineyard Church in Africa. Glenn was a pastor with John Wimber at the Anaheim Vineyard for a number of years before planting a church in Portland. He is currently the Regional Coordinator for Vineyard Missions USA in Mexico and Central America and pastors Cascade Vineyard Church in Portland, Oregon.
